Our Community
Here at Little Learners EDEC, we work in close collaboration with a wide variety of organisation’s developing mutually beneficially relationships.
The connections within our community that we establish enable us to implement our projects in a collective, informed, and respectful manner.
This approach provides the children with a wide array of authentic inclusive ongoing learning experiences.
Our community relationships cover a diverse range of topics such as: nature pedagogy, nutrition, nature based play, life skills, school readiness, water safety, sun safety, child safety, aboriginal culture, professional development, education, social engagement and so much more.
Get to know some of our community partnerships a little better:

Water should be a fun and safe environment for children but sadly drowning remains the leading cause of preventable death in children aged 0 to 4 years in Australia.
The good news is that there are simple steps you can take to keep your child safe and set them up for a lifetime of enjoying the water!
So come and join us each year as Dippy Duck from Royal Life Saving, shares with our children, stories of water safety. These vital life skills are not only beneficial to the children but also you, our families. By understanding the potential dangers that can occur in and around the water and how important parental supervision is, everyone can help our children safe.

St John Ambulance WA
Each year, St John Ambulance WA come to our Centre and provide free on-site first aid training to our 3-6-year-olds. The purpose of their visit is to introduce
basic first aid concepts to young children in a fun way.
They do this with the aid of a storybook and Kura the Bear. The children learn how to identify an emergency, what number to call in an emergency and
understand the role of who can help in an emergency.
The children then get a tour of the ambulance.

Safety House WA

The Safety House WA program is a local community driven “Good Neighbour” child safety initiative run locally by a group of interested and caring people and businesses in the local community who want to provide support and personal safety for any young children in need of help.
The Safety House WA Program provides:
– a safe place for children
– skills and confidence for the children to feel safe
– a network of safe places for children within the local community.
A distinctive yellow smiling house logo allows children to easily recognise
an approved safety house as a safe place to go when they feel scared or threatened.
