Centrelink Benefits & Rebates

Determining the rebates and benefits you may be entitled to is a confusing area, there are two main types of benefits available, the Child Care Benefit and the Child Care Rebate, here is a brief outline for you.

What is the Child Care Benefit (CCB)?

The Child Care Benefit is income tested and is usually paid directly to child care providers to reduce the fees eligible families pay. Click on the link below for more information:

What is the Child Care Rebate (CCR)?

The Child Care Rebate is not income tested. You may be eligible to receive this rebate even though your family income is too high to receive the Child Care Benefit. lick on the link below for more information:

Some things you will need to know:

  • Your Income
  • The type of care you are using
  • The amount of care you will use
  • The reason you are using care.
  • How many of your children are in care
  • Your Australian residency status
